The farm audit work undertaken by CMS UK gives us a sound agricultural base via regular contact with over 9000 livestock farmers (mainly dairy farmers) across England and Wales, regarding audit inspections for farm assurance work under the ADF (Assured Dairy Farms) and the Farm Assured Beef & Lamb schemes. This gives CMS UK a unique knowledge of dairy and livestock farming and the administration required to maintain databases for quality assurance and accreditation systems.

Information gathering for National Utilities

CMS UK offer specialist staff in England and Wales creating a national network of trained assessors and information gatherers, whose agricultural backgrounds and expertise place CMS UK well to act as agents on behalf of National Utilities and their suppliers whose apparatus travel through agricultural land.

CMS UK collate data to:

• Deal with Wayleave Agreements
• Introduce new projects / schemes
• Surveying / mapping of apparatus

CMS UK staff deal, on a weekly basis, with hundreds of farmers and businesses. Approximately 200 questions asked and answered for each of the 5000 dairy farms visited per annum. This data is processed for analysis, within an administration team based at the CMS UK Head Office in Crewe, to support the field staff collating the data on farm.

Through this on farm contact we are able to both identify additional services and information that is required by those farmers, and CMS UK are introducing appropriate services and joint working, which meets the needs of this large farmer client base.
