Single Payment Scheme (SPS)

The Single Payment Scheme (SPS) also sometimes referred to as the “Single Farm Payment” is an annual EU payment to farmers who maintain their land in accordance with certain Environmental and Legislative requirements.

All farmers and owners of agricultural land should have registered their fields and entitlements in order to be able claim the annual SPS payment from the Rural Payments Agency (RPA). The annual claim form must be submitted to the RPA by the 15th May deadline each year.
